Freshman English is designed to give students a strong foundation for their future study of English. A review of grammatical concepts emphasizes the integration of speech, reading, and writing. General language usage, improvement of sentence structure, punctuation, spelling accuracy, and vocabulary expansion are included in the program. Instruction is given in writing descriptive, narrative, informative, and expository essays.
